In this article, I will tell you a trick to know if there is a spy on your or not. We will be using a simple Windows feature, Event Viewer to know whether there any event occurred on your computer, at time on which you were not present or not. If you find any activity done on your computer in your absence, get alert! Change your password and increase the security, may be someone really got the access.
Follow the given steps to find whether your computer was used secretly or not ?:
Step 1: Open Control Panel and make sure Classic View(Windows XP) or Large Icon view(Windows 7) is activated.
Step 2: Open Administrative Tools
Step 3: In the next windows, Open Event Viewer
In Event Viewer you can observe various kind of event which happened on your computer along with their time of occurrence.
These events may be application events, security events or some other type of system events.
If you find an event happening on time at on which you were not present on your computer or according to you, no one should be accessing your computer at that time than this is a high alert for you. Someone is accessing your computer in your absence and spying you or stealing your data. You should immediately change your password or set a password, if haven’t set. Additionally, you can also install some security software programs.
Please note that in some cases, you may find wrong logged event time, if your computer time haven’t set properly.
