How to display message when Windows starts ?

Through this Computer trick you can display any warning message or any message of your choice before the welcome screen appears and can scare or amaze any one by this trick.

This trick is very useful when your computer is used by some else beside you. You can display a disclaimer, or warning message, or any guide to the user using the computer when the computer starts.


Follow the Given Steps to display a message when Windows starts:

1. Go to Start -> Run [Windows XP Users]

                           or

Windows 7 users, Goto ‘Start’ and Type Regedit in ‘search box’.

When ‘REGEDIT.EXE’ appears, right click on in and select run as Administrator.

or

Press Shortcut key of Run i.e. WindowsKEY + R and type REGEDIT and hit enter   

      


2. Registry Editor Windows will appear as shown above.

3. From Left Panel of registry editor, navigate to following key: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Current Version\Policies\System and double-click on legalnoticecaption.

4. In the Value data field enter in the header you want…for instance your  name…whatever you want it to be, then click OK.

For Example:

WELCOME TO YASH BLOG

Then double-click on legalnoticetext …

5. And in the Value data field enter in the message you want to display and click OK.

 For Example:

 YASH BLOG- INTERESTING TECH ARTICLES

Close the Registry Editor. 

The next time when you restart your computer, you will see a Message Popup    box with your Message before the login screen.

Why it is difficult to hack Google ?

Google is website which is being known by 98 percent of Internet users. Besides being most famous website in the world, Google is also most targeted website by hackers.
Hackers try their best to hack Google but are unable to succeed.

In this article I will try to find Why Google can’t be hacked.

We will take the Example of DDos attack.

What is DDos Hack attack ?

A DDos attack can be done by making Hundred or Thousands of http request to website which makes website unstable and servers goes down as it is unable to serve so many requests at a time.  Google cannot be hacked through DDos attack because not hundred, not thousand, but millions of search requests are served by Google at a time but they are not DDos attacks they are done by you and all the people around the world.
It’s true that Google gets million of the search requests in a minute and still it is stable just because of extremely powerful servers and high compression technology which enables Google to serve millions of requests at a time. So it will very hard for hacker to hack Google by some ‘physical’ type of hack since it has very powerful servers.
But several months ago Bangladesh’s Google and Sri Lanka’s Google was hacked, So does it mean Google can be hacked ? actually there was some technical problem in Bangladesh and Sri Lanka’s Data Center which made Google vulnerable for hackers.

But beside DDos Attack there are several more attacks which can hack Google like SQL Injection but for this attack SQL vulnerability should be founded but due high security system fortunately again Google wins here.

If you are successfully able to Hack Google then you will not be sued by Google instead you can win thousands of dollars because of finding vulnerability in Google’s server. To know more about this reward program, Goto Google and type “Google Reward Program” and hit enter.

How to disable autorun feature ?

Microsoft Windows have Autorun [Also Known as Autoplay Function] function. It is important to disable autorun feature from security point of view. If you want to disable autorun feature in your computer , you can do so from Policy Editor Window.

Follow the Given Steps :

1. GOTO Start then runs [Shortcut Key= WindowsKEY + R]
2. Type gpedit.msc and Hit Enter Key
3. The Local Group Policy Editor will be launched
4. Now navigate to Computer Configuration -> Administrative Templates -> Windows Components [From Left Side]
5. Now in Right Side Look for the Option Turn off Autoplay
6. Right click on Turn off Autoplay and Choose Edit
7. Now Select Option Enable for Turn off Autoplay on
8. Make Sure All Drives option is selected from Drop Down Menu
9. Click on Apply
10. Close Local Group Policy Editor

How to fix missing Folder Option ?

If we want to see hidden files and folders we can do so from folder option present on top of Windows Explorer. Sometimes some Malware,Trojans or Virus edits these settings and we cannot find Folder Option on top of the Windows Explorer. This trick will help you fix this Problem.

Why Virus Hide Folder Option ?
Most of the Virus files are hidden files and executes secretly, If someone has set the settings to Show Hidden files and folder he/she can easily see suspicious Virus files and can delete it. This is why many virus programs hide this Folder Option from Windows Explorer.

How to Get back Folder Option ?

1. Go to Start -> Run or Press Shortcut Key i.e. WindowsKEY + R
2. Type gpedit.msc and hit enter
3. From Left Pane, Move to User Configuration > Administrative templates > Windows Component > Windows Explorer.
4. When you will select Windows Explorer, look for Removes the Folder Option menu item from the Tools menu in the right panel
5. Double Click on it and Select Enable Option and Click on Apply then again Select Option Not Configure and Click on Apply and then Click on Ok.

That’s it !! After Restarting your Computer you can See Folder Option in the top of the Windows Explorer.

Who is using your computer in your absence ?

Invading privacy of others and forcefully or secretly entering into someone’s life is completely unethical, at least as a computer user.

If you have a doubt and think that someone may have got access to your computer and is accessing your computer in your absence to spy on you, this is the perfect article for you.

In this article, I will tell you a trick to know if there is a spy on your or not. We will be using a simple Windows feature, Event Viewer to know whether there any event occurred on your computer, at time on which you were not present or not. If you find any activity done on your computer in your absence, get alert! Change your password and increase the security, may be someone really got the access.

Follow the given steps to find whether your computer was used secretly or not ?:

Step 1: Open Control Panel and make sure Classic View(Windows XP) or Large Icon view(Windows 7) is activated.

Step 2: Open Administrative Tools

Step 3: In the next windows, Open Event Viewer

In Event Viewer you can observe various kind of event which happened on your computer along with their time of occurrence.

These events may be application events, security events or some other type of system events.

If you find an event happening on time at on which you were not present on your computer or according to you, no one should be accessing your computer at that time than this is a high alert for you. Someone is accessing your computer in your absence and spying you or stealing your data. You should immediately change your password or set a password, if haven’t set. Additionally, you can also install some security software programs.

Please note that in some cases, you may find wrong logged event time, if your computer time haven’t set properly.

How to lock folder without any software ?

Each and every one of us have his/her own privacy. In computer there is too privacy. May be you have some files which you don’t want others to access or want simply hide them.

In this article I will teach you a method through which you can lock any folder of your choice without using any program.

This trick of locking folder is divided into two parts: The lock and The Key. We will use notepad and will create our own program which will encrypt the folder of our choice, this is The Lock part. In The Key part we will create a program through notepad, this program will be used to decrypt locked folder. It is very simple technique: You have a lock and a key.

Here we go,

The Lock

To create program which will lock the folder follow the given steps:
Locking Folders:

1. Suppose you want to lock a folder John Cena which is present in the folder WWE of D:\ drive and it’s path is D:\WWE\John Cena
2. Open Notepad and and type the following code in it :-

ren “John Cena” “John“.{21EC2020-3AEA-1069-A2DD-08002B30309D}

In above code John Cena is the name of folder which is present in WWE folder of D: drive.

Now save the file as lockit.bat in the same folder or drive where folder you want to lock is present. In above example, we will save lockit.bat in D:\WWE

That’s it, we have created out Locking program now we have to create program which will unlock the folder.

The key

To create own program which will unlock the locked folder, follow the given steps:

1. The name folder which we want to unlock is John Cena.
2. Open Notepad and type in the following code in it :-

ren “John Cena“.{21EC2020-3AEA-1069-A2DD-08002B30309D} “John Cena“

In the above code, John Cena is the folder which was locked and now we want to unlock it, you can replace John Cena with folder name you want.

3. Now save the file as unlockit.bat in the same drive/folder where your locked folder is.

That’s it we have created both lock and key.

How to lock the folder ?

To lock the folder just run lockit.bat, you will observe that the icon of your folder will change, it will look similar to Control Panel icon and if any one will try to open your folder then Control Panel open instead, Isn’t amazing ?

How to unlock the locked folder ?

Just run unlockit.bat file which you created and your folder will get unlocked.

That’s it.

Remember: lockit.bat and unlockit.bat should be on same location where your folder is present. For example if your Folder is Present inside C Drive then you should save lockit.bat and unlockit.bat in C drive and if your folder is present in C:Windows then you should also save your both the files there.

Tip: Hide unlockit.bat or move it to a place where no one can access it and when you want to unlock a folder then move unlockit.bat to the drive/folder where locked folder is present.

How to Lock Computer Temporarily when Wrong Password is entered

While you are not present someone ‘unauthenticated’ might try to log into your computer. He will try to guess your password. But by using this Trick if any “unauthenticated’ guy tries to Login in your computer by ‘guessing’ password then your computer will get automatically locked for 1 hour or time you have selected. Simply, When a wrong password is entered more than 2 times, your computer will not allow anyone to log in for 1 hour or less or more time.

This Tutorial is divided into two Sections:

1. For Windows 7
2. Via Command Prompt,For Starter, Home Basic, or Home Premium version of Windows 7 and all the Versions of Windows XP

For Windows 7

1. Open Start Menu
2. In Search Box, type “Local Security Policy” without quotes(” marks) and hit enter
3. Now Local Security Policy window will appear
4. Double click on Account Policies which is present on the left
5. Select Account Lockout Policy
By Default this feature is not enabled
6. Click Twice on Account lockout threshold entry
7. A New Dialogue box will appear, now enter the number of times a password can be entered
For example, if you want that right password can be tried to enter only in twice than in this dialogue box you will write 2
To save setting enter the number of chances to enter password and than click on Ok button
8. Windows will ask you settings for Account lockout duration and the length of time to Reset account lockout counter. By default 30 minutes are selected; you can select another time, or go with the defaults by clicking Ok.
9. That’s It !!
10. Now whenever anyone tries to enter password more than 2 times than your computer will not allow him or her to enter password again until the time period you have selected.
To Change setting, go through these steps Again.

Via Command Prompt

1. Open Command Prompt; Run as Administrator
Right Click on Command Prompt Icon and than select “Run as Administrator”
XP Users: Goto Start, Click on Run and type CMD and hit enter
2. Command Prompt window will open
3. To Check your Current setting type Net accounts and hit enter
4. Now type net accounts /lockoutthreshold:2
and hit enter.
Here 2 represents number of times password is allowed to enter
5. To set time period to lock computer type net accounts /lockoutduration:20
and hit enter.
Here 20 represents the time period(20 Minutes) for which computer will get locked when wrong password is entered.

That’s It !!
You can change 2 with number of chances password is allowed to enter with your choice.
You can also change 20 with time period of your choice, it is in minutes.
